The aircraft involved in the crash was identified as a SOCATA TBM7, a small single-engine business aircraft. FAA officials stated that the plane had departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa earlier in the day and was en route to Anoka County–Blaine Airport in Minneapolis when the crash occurred.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the wreckage of the aircraft engulfed in flames, which had spread to a nearby residential home. Fortunately, fire crews acted quickly, containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading further. They were also able to evacuate nearby residents, ensuring no injuries occurred inside the home.

Local authorities confirmed that there were no injuries to the individuals inside the home, although the crash resulted in significant damage.
